Youth Ministry

SUMC

Saraland UMC has an awesome student group
for students in the 6th - 12 grade!

ARE YOU IN MIDDLE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL?   WE WANT YOU!!

Join us for The Bridge

Our student ministry is evolving and changing to help reach the people around us more effectively. With this, our Youth Group is named "The Bridge." This stems from the idea that we can be vessels through which Christ will show His love to our friends, family, and neighbors. Every event, fellowship time, and Bible study is aimed to help us to learn to build meaningful relationships, engage people with loving actions, and just have a great time. Please pray as we seek Jesus through Bible study, fellowship and mission opportunities.

The Bridge Student Ministry exists to reach students and connect them with Christ; to help them grow in their faith, while challenging them to discover their ministry and honor God with their life.

A Word from Abby

Summer 2008 is going to be awesome!! There are so many things to do! None the less, the exciting knowledge of I'm going to be a freshmen at Satsuma this fall! There is so much to do and so little time! My plans are simple... waterski, friends, and laziness! (Not forgetting church!)

With water skiing I will be practicing all week and then attending tournaments all over the southeastern region on weekends hoping to make it to the big tournaments: Regionals and Nationals. (The downside is my family and I will have to miss Sunday morning church a lot.) I also hope to get to spend enormous amounts of time with my friends and youth! What are you doing this summer! Whatever you do remember, be safe! Have Fun!

    Project 2819
Project 2819 is the name of our Wednesday Night Bible Study at 6:00 PM that focuses on Matthew 28:19 more commonly known as "The Great Commission." Youth (6th through 12th grade) come join together as we learn how to be disciples for Christ and live a radical life!

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age."

    Matthew 28:18-20
