A mission trip to Guatemala is being planned now! The next one will be February 2012 to the Christian orphanage "Casa Para Niños Aleluya" in Guatemala. If you are interested in going, please see Phil or Cindy Messer. There will also be several fundraisers in the next few months to support our mission team!

In 2010, and May 2011 the Saraland UMC mission team went to Casa Aleluya. They were involved in a variety of tasks including light carpentry work, organizing a medical infirmary, and projects that the orphanage needed to have done. They were also able to spend play time with local children every day.

The ministry of Casa Aleluya is stated as:

“Casa Para Niños Aleluya was started in 1989 with the sole purpose of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to the suffering children of Guatemala. Through the housing, feeding, and education of the children, we are able teach them about the unconditional love that many of them did not receive from their home. It is our belief that these children will become the future leaders of Guatemala and will make significant improvements to the country by applying the Christian principles they are learning at our home.”
