Summer’s here and it’s time for our students that have completed the 6th - 8th grades to have a wild and crazy time at Middle School Madness! Check out our schedule for July. Learn more

Mission Texas
A mission team of youth and their chaperones
will be heading toward Austin, TX, on Saturday, July 19. They will be participating in a Group Work Camps mission event. The seven youth and adults will be helping with VBS and working on a variety of community service projects.

Mother's Day Out
Saraland UMC will open a Mother’s Day Out in August 2008! We will be offering child care Monday - Thursday for Mobile area children age 6 months through 5 years, Learn More

Church-wide Work Days
Mark your calendars for August 9-11 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). We will be having a work day to do more painting at the church. Work will begin at 8 a.m. each day. Watch the bulletin for details.

Homecoming
Our upcoming Homecoming Celebration will be held on September 21, 2008, when George and Monteigne Mathison will return to share God’s word with us. Pray that many will be able to “come home” to see George and that it can truly be a day of celebration of where our church has been and where our church is going!

A Big Addition
We have decided to purchase 2.8 acres of land on Cleveland Rd. which connects to our current property and can be used for future church campus expansion.

Capital Campaign Coming Fall 2008
Our church has hired a wonderful consultant named Darrell Copeland from Generis to help us raise capital funds to make improvements to our facility and expand our parking lot. We are excited about renovating our sanctuary, fellowship hall, and offices – and excited about having ample parking places in which new people can park.

Children’s Worship Service
Children age 3 years - 5th grade) are encouraged to join us Sundays at 10:30 a.m. for a worship service just for kids! We meet in Room 10 every Sunday except for Communion Sundays.

Gospel Singing Jubilee
The Second Sunday of each month at 6:30 pm is a night of uplifting Gospel Singing with special musical guests from Mobile and beyond. A nursery is provided The next Jubilee is in September 14th with 'Whistlestop', the popular Bluegrass band that played for SpringFest. Learn more

Discovery 101
An invitation to discover more about Saraland UMC. This 2 hour class is held once a month on the first Sunday of each month, 4:00-6:00 pm. Contact Betty Moye to sign up. Learn More

Teacher Needed
We still need a 3rd-5th Grade teacher for the 9:00 Sunday School hour. All lessons and materials are provided. See Betty for details.

St. Francis Street
An SUMC team cooks and serves breakfast on the second Saturday of each month for the homeless in downtown Mobile. Sign up to help!
